Vision

In Canyons School District, we believe that all stakeholders benefit from technology being a part of the learning process, focusing on academic mastery. Educational technology will be used to empower teachers, students, and other stakeholders to gain the knowledge and skills needed to adapt, create, consume, and connect with the broader world in preparation for meaningful life opportunities.

Google Docs and the Close Reading process

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The Close Reading process supports students with making meaning of text (and other stimuli) through repeated and various active engagement OTRs. Using Google Docs to facilitate a close read eliminates the scattered highlighters and "lost" copies all while building student proficiency with 21st century word processing tools. Additionally, implementing close reading is a great way to habitually implement WICOR/WISR.
