Vision

In Canyons School District, we believe that all stakeholders benefit from technology being a part of the learning process, focusing on academic mastery. Educational technology will be used to empower teachers, students, and other stakeholders to gain the knowledge and skills needed to adapt, create, consume, and connect with the broader world in preparation for meaningful life opportunities.

This presentation explores the dynamic integration of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools, peer partnerships, and descriptive teaching techniques to facilitate effective communication in the classroom. By incorporating peer partners, students without communication difficulties are enlisted to support their peers, fostering inclusivity and peer-to-peer learning experiences. Additionally, descriptive teaching techniques provide contextual understanding and encourage active participation.
